Sagrantino

Sagrantino, the red variety of Umbria, is now the centre of much attention in Italy as plantings are increasing rapidly.

When we first tasted a Sagrantino in a line-up of Italian reds, it stood out as the most preferred wine with excellent colour and fruit character and generous tannin structure.

The tannin structure of this variety suggests that it will age extremely well.

We anticipate planting our first small area very soon, so the prospect of making our first Sagrantino in a few years is very exciting.
